The Story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Cloud becomes disenchanted with Shinra, a corporation that harvests Mako, the planet’s spiritual energy, to power Midgar. At the urging of Tifa Lockhart, he joins Avalanche, an eco-terrorist group led by Barret Wallace. Barret believes that Shinra’s excessive Mako extraction is damaging the planet, leading to a bombing mission on a Mako reactor.After an encounter with Sephiroth Cloud meets Aerith Gainsborough. Throughout the game, strange ghost-like entities both aid and hinder Cloud, leading to his recruitment for another mission in which he goes missing.

Aerith helps evacuate the population before a Shinra disaster, but she is captured. Cloud, Tifa, and Barret rescue her from Shinra headquarters, revealing her heritage as the last Cetra, a race coveted by Shinra for their connection to the Promised Land. The group encounters Red XIII, who explains that the ghostly entities are Whispers, ensuring destiny’s course isn’t altered. Sephiroth steals Jenova, linked to the Cetra’s extinction, and murders Shinra’s president. His son Rufus assumes control and fights Cloud but is defeated.
